Potluck

Starting today, Ontario is in step 3, which means more things are opening to more people, ie: restaurants, theaters and stores.   As more and more people are getting their shots it appears the province maybe, finally beating this virus down.  That does not mean we will be doing anything different than what we are doing now.

Included in the opening up more people can gather inside and outside, so our Quilting  Guild is going to have an in person  potluck dinner outside at one of our members houses.  I am looking forward to it as it has been a long time since we have actually had an in person get together.

As of Sunday we both will be immunized up to the % of safety the vaccine will give us, so feeling better about that.

On to another subject....weather, it is cloudy and the forecast is for rain this afternoon.  A city north of us by quite s few miles had a tornado yesterday afternoon.  It injured several people and did a lot of damage to quite of few houses.   We only had clouds and some rain late last evening.  Nature can be beautiful and also deadly, it deserves a lot of respect.

Not much else going on around the estate today, so not much to write about.

Dinner tonight salmon, mushrooms, veg and salad, must figure out what we will have for dessert.

Have a great day.

  1. Glad to hear you are on step 3 and that you Quilting Guild will be able to meet in person for a potluck dinner. Sure glad to hear it's still going to be held outside. Even though everything has opened up here I'm still not comfortable with indoor activities unless I know for sure everyone has been fully vaccinated. It's really on the rise here in Florida and our governor just laughs and makes fun of masks and the vaccine. It's an awful thing to see while people are still being hospitalized and dying here every day!

  3. Glad Ontario is letting restrictions down. Canada has been very, very restricted, I have read.

I forget your "Jab" schedule. But I think you have had both. So guess Sun. is when the 2 weeks after the 2nd shot, are up. And you are as safe as you are going to be. -smile-

My "such time" is this week, but he has to wait another week. By the end of July, we should be able to feel a little better.

There are almost no cases in our area, so we will go out to eat some.

Plus, I'm glad we waited till now, to have the "Jab". All the other old people, in the US, had it, months, and months ago!!!!!

*They* are now saying maybe it only lasts 6-8 months. Sooooo, all the other old people's *immunity* will be running out. And we will be 'good' past Christmas. Hooray for us. LOL
